John Stones transfer saga

Honestly, I think he's got everything except positional awareness and more astute reading of the game.

But imo those 2 things come with time and plenty of games, particularly alongside players like Jagielka.

Qucik scouting summary would be:

Very elegant on the ball, but this can mask the plenty of mistakes he makes defending.

That's a big fear and possibility again. Cash in on a player with no time left to spend it.

Imagine if that happens this summer? As well as not spending the £35M of tv cash like every other club does, these carpet baggers also hold onto the lions share of cash in any deal for Stones.

I wouldn't put it past them.
Then you'll get Elstone out telling everyone the 10 million pounds raised from Arteta was spent on a new Contract for Anichebe and Gibson (for half a million).

We've always had more cash coming in from TV deals, just because it's a greater increase this time round doesn't automatically mean it's going to go on transfers. It'll keep getting eaten up until we're on relatively even financial footing, which by the sounds of it is still a long way away.

He is technically a fantastic defender. His main flaw is his arrogance. Dribbling past attackers etc. At the level he is currently at he gets away with it due to his ability. There would be a question mark though when entering the next level if he needs to iron that out. He makes defending look very easy which can be both a good and bad thing!

Our transfer budget is constant: it's a negative net spend in all but a handful of seasons since Kenwright took control.

It's not that hard to predict this one will be the same....despite the new cash "available"

So, how much have we got 100%

There'll always be an excuse, because they know they'll get away with it.

The whole lot of them need sweeping out...him especially.

Champions League level he'd be torn apart. Positionally he's weak. He can learn, but another club needs to take that task on.

Get the deal done for him and move swiftly on.

It'd be good for him, a necessity for us.
