John Stones transfer saga

He's going. Nothing surer. He'll leave with a few days left in the window and Martinez will be given a fraction of the cash.

This summer has been chosen to make a massive grab for cash by the board. Some will give them leeway on it by thinking that they're doing it to pay down a debt and all but eliminate it or squirrel much needed stadium funds away for safe keeping. It wont be on either counts.

Run by carpet baggers for 15 years. I'll take the piss out of the Kopites as much as anyone, but they'd have thrown this load of reprobates into the Mersey about a decade ago.

If John Stones was sold now on the eve of the Pl season then there would be no doubt in my mind that this whole summer has been a staged managed charade by the club to keep the fans in the dark. It would be very damaging for the manager and I expect they would be desperate to see John Stones hand in a transfer request to get them of the hook with the fans as they would have manufactured another Judas for the fans. I hope that John does,nt hand in a transfer request when he does leave the club one day so the we can all see who engineered the move.

Mourinho just been on a live interview with Alan Brazil on Talksport. Said that for him the transfer window has shut and they will not be buying any more players.

Take it with a pinch of salt, but its straight from the horses mouth. Think he's been told to do one by Everton myself.
I listened to that, wasnt quite what he said. I think he meant in his opinion the window should close before the league starts and for now he is not thinking about the window, only about starting the season well with the squad he has available. He then leaves some room for wriggle by saying "whatever happens happens" "ridiculous things can happen, sometimes a player can play against a club one week, then play for the other club the week after" Their window is not over by any means.

I wonder would a Stones transfer request galvanise the Manchester clubs enough to get involved in a bidding war with Chelsea?
