And what about the top English clubs? Just hype?
No not just hype. He's a very good player and good enough to possibly nail down a starting position for them and be their first choice CB for a decade and he's English.

But he has a long way to go before he proves himself to be capable of being world class.

If you two could knock each other out with some decent punches for a few weeks that'd be just ace

Is he better than the new Xavi???

Sorry, I meant the new Iniesta.

Tut tut, forcing your opinion on people again. When will you learn.

The forum has basically gone into meltdown because another club has bid for one of our players - Which we have rejected

Chelsea are perfectly within their rights to bid for Stones, however derisory we think their (initial) bid is - My god I'm sure we've made some derisory bids over the years

There has been no indication that we are going to sell him, and no sounds from the player himself about wanting to move.

Not sure what's being debated here - Until somebody comes in with a bid which is accepted it's basically a non story.

Every top club in Europe are interested in him lad. No surprise. Hopefully, we'll have him for another season at least. As others have said, I don't think he'll force a move, which means if we sell, it's because of the board, and I don't know if this current board could withstand us selling one of the best homegrown talents of the last ten years.

Though I agree that he still has to prove himself to be world class, obviously.
