John Stones transfer saga

....also, if he is so desperate to leave why hasn't he put in a transfer request.

Because mate the papers have picked on the utterly wrong player to make all this crap up about, the assumed stones is a greedy sod who also happens to be a bit thick, in fact he isn't either and is apparently dead grounded and pretty intelligent, birds studying law as well rather than a fake tan and tits wag

STONES TO BEG FOR EXIT?

The Daily Express reckon John Stones is so keen to join Chelsea that he will "beg" Everton chairman Bill Kenwright to allow him to leave this week.

The paper reports that the defender told manager Roberto Martinez at the end of last season that he was keen to talk to any interested clubs.

And it is claimed he will now officially ask to leave and Chelsea will make a final offer of around £36m for his services.

SKY.

Who was it that first posted this story (and it is a story) before any one else got wind of it ?
My guess is whoever it was had prior knowledge of it going to press.

Imagine this

Ossie: So, John, how does it feel for the team bottom of the Premier League to be making an offer for you with us top of the table?

(If Chelsea should lose and Everton win - some alternative scenarios with Chelsea drawing would see them in the relegation zone tonight).

I'll preface this with the point that I believe he's happy here and won't do it because he isn't desperate to leave... HOWEVER there's one big reason that players are particularly eager not to hand in transfer requests even if they massively want to leave: Loyalty bonuses, they can be worth millions and are only paid up to the player if they leave without requesting a transfer (or across the length of their contract if they stay). My favourite part of the whole Sterling saga was that the cheeky [Poor language removed] got a nice juicy loyalty bonus from Liverpool when he left even though he'd done everything but hand in a transfer request this summer to force a transfer.
