John Stones transfer saga

Everyone saying Sky and BBC reporting it so must be true.....none give one single link, name or anything.

Basically, one news group broke it and the others are following with it.

BBC article means that it is true. They have ridiculously strict standards before reporting.

It also means that someone is leaking but that is hardly surprising. Time for the club to stick to their guns. If he goes after all the rhetoric then they've made total tools of themselves.

Rooney - August 27th
Arteta - August 31st
Lescott - August 11th
Fellaini - September 2nd
Stones - August 25th

Far too convenient.

Given that players receive something in the region of 5% of a transfer fee if they don't hand in a transfer request are you suggesting they've all lost a shed load of cash just to do Everton a favour?

Rooney £1.5m
Arteta £.5m
Lescott. £1.1
Fellaini. £1.35m

and potentially Stones is now prepared to give up £1.5m just out of the goodness of his heart?

The annual accounts of Everton have a big expense entry, 'other operating costs'. It is totally opaque ie there are no notes to this entry.

It's incredible it exists really. So easy to fiddle too.

One contract for toilet rolls at £15 a pop here, another one for £50,000 to pay a photographer for an event there etc. and it'd all soon add up.

A massive chunk of the Stones fee will be 'misplaced'. Or, rather, we'll spend exactly what the Stones fee is net in this window and January, and the TV money slips down the side of the sofa.

not one quote or name even

Stones' agent probably told the media.

If it's accepted I doubt we'll be hearing from the club.

Roughly? 20-25 times in the SPL and Europe.

The feller is class and nailed on to represent his country and play CL footy. There will be suitors in for Van Dijk.

really? impressive. hes only been there 2 years so you must have watched every single games hes played on tv. unless your a super Celtic fan (which it sounds like you are) and stream their games online aswell.

SSN saying barnsley have a sell on clause of around 5%, surely that's wrong? Everywhere else reckons 15%

Also said Yarmolenko deal is off but could be resurrected.

Get Yarmolenko and Van Dijk/Koubaily/Dragovic and let the judas go to sit on Chelsea's bench

That's what I find strange, if the club are aware that the media are reporting it, then you would hope that they would realise the amount of fume there would be, and would want to get a statement out ASAP.
The news came out after Martinez's press conference. I don't think that's a coincidence. The club won't say a thing until "John Stones has been sold for...."

It wouldn't surprised me if we've negotiated them down as part of the Holgate deal - basically said accept the lower clause of 5% or we can't sell the player and you miss out on anything.

If he has handed in a request, ship him out asap. Request £35m from Chelsea, take the money and move on.

No player is bigger than Everton. Not ideal because he is a talented lad but we move on. With some decent money to spend.

Yarmolenko signing (which is still a real possibility) would take us to the next level - Keeping Stones wouldn't.
