John Stones transfer saga

If we sell him i feel like im done with Everton this year. If i feel like that, what do the players who havent invested in and love the club feel like seeing him go? Its a joke, absolute joke.

I just dont understand why he has put transfer request in to sit on his arse and ruin his chances of starting in the Euros ffs

if he is as good as we say he is and worth 40 million, will he sit on the bench or would he play? i think he will play there.

Forget about the people on Twitter. It will be the people in the ground when Chelsea hammer us that Bill will have to worry about.

Will he though? A few boos at a game he won't attend in all likelihood.

Then as soon as we win a game the happy clappers will be out in force for the Boys Pen hero.

We can't blame Stones or Martinez, it is the modern game and all the more depressing for it because Everton have fallen so far behind. The real issue is the stagnancy that afflicts our once great club, a board of directors with no vision, simply patching up and making do for the last 18 years. Every time we unearth a gem, whether through our youth set up or otherwise, one of the richer clubs will snap him up. It is not Chelsea's fault, it is the poverty of our position and the ineptitude of our board. Good luck to the lad, but this is a very depressing moment to be a blue.

Im saying that in American sports, you can't just "bid" for someone in the middle of their contact. The club can try to trade for them.

Oh, you can propose trades whenever you want as long as it's before the deadline, which is normally around the middle of the season

That's the difference, players are traded for other players, not bought and sold for a fee*. No massive piles of cash ever exchange hands for players.

*Cash considerations are sometimes given for minor league baseball players, but it's normally only for players who aren't actually worth anything anyway.

Question mate - would you blame Roberto in the slightest for walking off the back of this?

I actually don't believe he's had any input on this whatsoever. I think he's been badly double-crossed by Kenwright and Bobby has been woefully naive about how business is done at Everton.
Honestly I would question it if he stays.

You would hope that Martinez has had players lined up as replacements in case this scenario arose ?.

The next few days are going to be make or break for the board and Martinez.

He isnt mate. Its an in joke.

I think someone is on a wind up.
