John Stones

His potential is legit frightening. Could go on to be one of the best centre halves the game has ever seen. Has absolutely everything you want in a centre-half, but most importantly it's his composure at his age. Lots of centre-halves can physically play the game, like Smalling, McNair or whoever, but they lack the mentality to be utterly dominant against an opposition consistently.

Stones has only ever had one outright poor game for Everton - that is ludicrous consistency for a lad who isn't even 21 yet.

As said above, completely invaluable to us.

Young Boys away?

Another excellent performance by him. He has a real arrogance about him, and was unfazed by marking Rooney/Falcao. We have an exciting bunch of young players but he is the best of that bunch.

I'd love to bum him! Only to show him how much we all think of him.

Love you Stoner lad.

My favourite stat of the day.

John Stones has the best passing stats in the entire Premier League, and the sixth best in the whole of Europe.

For every 1000 passes he makes only 79 are misplaced. Xavi - maybe the best passer ever? - misplaces 72 out of every 1000.
I imagine a lot of central defenders are toward the top of that list, still a cool stat though.

Best 2.2million you've ever spent

As Tubey says, he's only ever had one bad performance I can think of, which was when playing out of position at Anfield alongside Alcaraz and an injured Jagielka. He did get caught away to Young Boys and from memory could have done better with Sakho/Valencia's goal away to West Ham, but other than that I can't really think of anything he's done wrong.

Which for a 20 year old who's played so many games is astonishing.

He's got the tackle of Besic
Dribble of Messi
an the pass of Xavi

he's a f'in beast lidz... seriously though crazy talent for his age only thing
could have nocked him for were headers not getting on many but that goes to the whole squad really, made up finally got one.. great personality + potential

just to think he's only 20 .. most defenders hit there prime later on BOOM.
