Barnsley have a 17 year old right back called James Bree he's already turned down Manchester City and United people at the club and fans think he'll be better then Stones be interesting to see who ends up the better of the two, he'll have to be some player to be better then stonesy.

He will end up a central midfielder that lad.

he is so impressive to watch, but it's how he has effected the other players that is even more impressive, he has pretty much saved the defense

He's quite shy off the pitch, but for his age he's a very confident leader on the pitch.

I think he's still got a few mistakes in him owing to inexperience, but he's not that far off being up there with the very best. There was a passage of play in one of the European games where he ushered a striker away from the penalty area into midfield and forced the bloke into a nothing pass and then loped back to position, which reminded me so much of a similar thing from Bobby Moore v Brazil at the Maracana years ago. Not flashy - just consumate defending. And I really struggle to remember any of the previous greats sticking in a header like Sunday's!

If I were stupid enough to believe anyone would take my advice, it would be this: get as much video of him as you can for your old age and for your kids. He may well not serve the club as long as Labone did but I'm guessing he'll be Labby + bells and whistles in terms of effectiveness.

I still think back to that game vs West Bromley where he strode imperiously from defense with the ball at his feet. The lid is ace on toast and will continue to get better.
