That's what I am thinking too. PAlace, West Ham and Leicester are Already offering £15 - £35 million for players, and if u think every top half 'll club has around £50m effectively in transfer fees, why are we thinking TV MONEY + Moshiri + player releases= £100m? Where did this figure come from anyway?
The first time I remember seeing the £100 million mentioned was in the press, along with RK is the No. 1 target, the Friday before SFC's last game. Thought it was the new ruthless EFC trying to unsettle RK but now think it more likely it was RK's agent trying to play us against SFC. The big question was did this figure include the sale of Rom.
Subsequently it was stated in the papers that the £100 million excluded player sales and any revenue generated by them would be added to the fund. Haven't seen the Esk confirm this specifically.
Thus far I admit it's not looking encouraging but I'm still hopeful there'll be something approaching a positive net spend of £100 mill when the window closes which is still nearly two months away.

Spat his dummy out last season after he didn't get a move to Chelsea. Has never withdrawn his transfer request and awful at times last season. We now have a complete overhaul of the club and it appears he still wants out to chav city?

F' him.

If he truly thinks he can do better than Everton then he can jog on. Leicester and indeed Wales tonight have shown that you need guts and to throw yourself into every challenge to be a winner. He has loads of talent but does he really have the application to be a winner.

If he leaves thinking he can join a ready made side, the answer is a resounding no.

No he didn't...

He was easily our best player in the first half of last season. And yes, he probably does want to leave the club that finished 11th - with the other best player also wanting out - to join a club managed by the best manager in the world.

And he'll walk into that City team.

Will be a loss to us, but we'll get a good fee and move on - it happens.

Just try not to be so bitter. It isn't 1986 anymore. We're not top of the pile - even with this money.

What money though? We're still selling to buy apparently. It's a crock.

No we're not.

We're selling to be able to increase the wage budget within financial regulations - well, that's one reason.

The other is that we've been crap for the past two seasons and players aren't fans and won't wait forever. If both Stones and Rom said they wanted to stay, we wouldn't sell.

However, they both want out. And we can stand to bring in a total of approx. £110mil (gross) from those sales.

If Mosh was serious he'd be throwing money at players that would convince Stones and Lukaku it was worth hanging around for. Sham.

Meh would've been nice to keep him, more use to us to get the money in though so we can spend big.

Don't think he'll reach his peak under pep tbh. We'll just have to buy him back on the cheap in a few seasons

Personally I'll remember him as being probably the brightest and best young English talent to play for our club since Rooney

Usually we wait til a player has actually left us to begin the name calling and revisionism but the Twitter generation must get angry NOW

Good luck John, but still think you could have made it at a big club like R M or Barca.

He's more likely to get that move having played at City than Everton mate.

He's 22, defenders don't usually peak until their late 20s/early 30s. If he reaches his potential he will probably be there in a few years.
