When was that? He's only played 2 games for the club. And wasnt one of them against fleetwood or something. Very hard to make any sort of assessment.
Not sure how he got on at standard liege but they had an awful season finishing near the bottom and i noticed he was on the bench a fair bit. Worrying if he cant get a regular game in the belgium league
….to be fair, I think it was in a couple of cup games but regardless of the opposition he was physically imposing when he strode forward. Got to the by-line lots & I thought we had a very decent prospect with that dimension of his play. If Lampard plays with WBs, he could be a decent option.

He looked ok. But i wouldnt say regardless of the opposition as its basically he's played against lower league sides in the cup and thats it.
As stated its a concern he couldnt get a regular game for liege but maybe he didnt settle. He's still young enough to come back here and hopefully do something.

Short sighted though. Coleman is only going to decline further due to age. Kenny is young still, makes more sense to give him a 2 or 3 year contract as a squad player. He can also cover RB, RWB and LWB.

There's no real evidence Patterson is ready to start games at this level.
We all hope Patterson will be a big success, but as yet we have seen very little of Jim and we cannot predict how good he will be.

Then the other way round if he is not ready to start. Simple. Just release Kenny there is no room for sentiment.

You think getting rid of a Championship level 25 years old player as short sighted. He is not good enough and will never be. No point of keeping because he is a local lad.

There’s enough evidence that Kenny is a waste of space and will not be good enough.

Most teams have a reliable lesser able players for cup games etc. No one is saying Kenny deserves a massive contract but he outperformed the majority of our defenders under Lampard.
