Poor coaching has "happened" to him. We were on holiday near Toulon, and Kenny was in the England team, playing some great teams, of the u18 age group. He was like a man among boys in a couple of games we saw.

Then, back at a struggling Everton, playing under some seriously dross managers. Silva, sam allardyce, the chubby Spanish bloke among others. Some of the worst managers in EFC history. Kenny has been poorly coached, and has had the misfortune of playing alongside of some of the worst players weve ever had.

Most of our players are and have been poorly coached over he years take Hibbert , he was with the club for more years than a care to remember, he wasnt the worst defender but fell to pieces when going forward, could the coaches not work on that over the years.
Godfrey is the new one that gets my goat , plays at left back at times but cant use his left foot, you wonder if they ever train or get coached on their weaknesses, i am hoping Gordon improves but they need to coach him on his final ball but i wont hold my breath

I wish him all the best , He was never good enough but I hate seeing young players slated for not being as good as his predecessors.
At least he wants to play and is not just happy to sit on the bench and take the money.

Jaysus. I live in Berlin and my nine-year-old is a fan. I knew he was in for a life of misery when he took Hertha to his heart. I thought he might at least have a summer of delusion.

Best of luck to the lad, not at the level required for us (even in a relegation battle) but is a blue and has chose to pursue other options instead of leeching off the club.

Davies is the one for me who has had no coaching at all.
It’s similar to Godfrey, if they had been coached to play in one role in one position they would be twice the players.
Godfrey shouldn’t be shunted to left back, right back until he has had the coaching and time to become an actual centre back.
We done it with, Galloway, Browning and Holgate.

Two memories stand out for me. One shortly after he broke into the side. We were poor and in particular the senior pros had gone missing. He brought heart and fight to that game when we conceded a goal and tried to get the team’s heads up even though it fell on deaf ears and the other guys just looked at their boots.

The second was home v Chelski this season. He was warming up near where I sit when Pickford pulled off the brilliant double save to clinch the win. Disbelief on his face and reacted like a fan when he watched it on the replay and applauded the save. A true Blue that lad who briefly lived the dream of playing for the Blues.
