But mate I'm not arsed how he did at schalke 4 years ago, he's been nothing but average for us and only in the last few home games he's been good.

Wouldn't be adverse to us giving him a short term contract, but I don't believe in handing out contracts to players who have shown next to nothing in their whole career with the club.

They'll hold off anything until the end of the season and see how he does over a few months and not a few home games

Let's get rid of him and waste another 15m+ on a player of lesser quality. Great forward thinking.

You were a minute ago when you thought he'd been relegated with them.

Fair enough, you have a particular gripe about this player. We all on occasion have those and Kenny seems to be yours.

Not sure I agree to be honest. That Schalke team were totally abject.
Then you cant have watched much of that season he was there. Going forward and linking up he was superb. His energy levels were good and he got back behind the ball. But his positional play was poor when he got back. That was what needed to be ironed out, and from what I see right now he's ironing it out.

Not even 25 yet and some would have him out the door when he's clearly our most promising player in defence now.

Incredible levels of delusion about who we are a a club that some feel we can afford to discard that lad.

They didn't win any of their last 16 league games. I watched quite a bit during the initial lockdown because it was the only league playing for a while.

As I said, I'm not making a decision on a player after only 35 days with Lampard as our manager

You wont be making any decision at all. Lampard will.

He's not even 25 with bags of experience in different leagues and is playing as well as anyone in this team...so, yeah, let's let him go on a free transfer to one of our opponents.

Un'kinbelievable *logic*
Or we can give him a massive contract and continue paying for someone that is not good enough to be here .

Luke garbutt situation waiting to happen

What's wrong with having him as a squad player. Coleman will be off soon and will need replacing. Why bin Kenny off too if he can do a job as a squad player, when there are other areas that desperately need strengthening

Luke Garbage isn't remotely comparable to Jonjoe Kenny. That's just bogus.
