Loving hte critisism of a 20 year old making his 4th appearence for us with absolutely no one infront of him!

Top fans on here, gang of melts

If anyone was infront of him when we had the ball they would have been offside.

Played way too far up the pitch. Shanked that really good chance when we finally got a break, but you can't get on his back for that. Played okay otherwise, you could see his frustration.

I didn't think he was that bad last night, but let's get something straight. If you are picked for Everton's first team - on merit, not because you're the 38th choice and all the others have been diagnosed with bird flu - then no matter how old you are, there is an expectation that you will perform to a reasonable standard. If people have written him off and said he's useless then by all means call them idiots, but if people are just pointing out he wasn't great and might not be ready then what exactly is the problem? Do we have to pretend he's world class until he turns 23 and then we're suddenly allowed to say what we really think?

I thought he did OK, VERY dominant in the air for a Right Back (ahem Holgate/Martina). As mentioned in the previous replies, he had little support from the midfield and that stopped him from going forward as much as he usually does. Overall, decent learning experience for the lad.

Is that because he was made responsible for all that right hand side? If he stayed in a natural full back position than there would be glaring space infront of him for the opposition to run at him, he had a catch 22 position.
Blame the tactics and team selection not Kenny

Again asking left and right back to be responsible for everything that is happening at both flank. At the same time crowding 3 number 10 in the middle and expect them to perform the same task with 3x the efficiency and productivity.

Absolute madness. Play 2 winger instead ffs!!!! Utter Dutch donkey

It's when we had the ball. You could see there was just no outlet from the middle out to his wing. Dropping off a few yards and we would have been able to use the width he was given. Comes with experience, I don't think anyone is blaming him for anything.
