I'm not sure that the first team are up to the style of attacking, fast pace passing that Jonjoe is used to in the u23s - many times he was looking for the ball into the corner where there was loads of space to run onto, but the Morgan Sideways decided to pass it to Williams instead or 10 feet to a backward tracking Rooney.
I think all of the successful, forward thinking, attacking u23 team are going to be dragged down to the oil tanker turning speed of our first team and made to look bad, Davies showed signs of this on Thursday where his normal harassing and forward balls have been wiped from his game and was often caught in two minds.
