Who's fault is that though?

It's nobody's fault. It's just the way it goes.

He came back to the club earlier than initially planned. But there's a lot said for getting minutes under the belt and sharpness back.

He's done fine in both games, all in all. Made great saves in both. Made a mistake in both.

One of those mistakes cost us v Wolves but it was a great free-kick and it was merely a matter of Pickford not entirely trusting his wall, it happens.

Having seen the clip of his ‘foul’ on Ings a number of times, it’s a great bit of keeping from him.

Plenty of keepers bottle that challenge when they see a striker bearing down on them, caught in two minds of dashing backward to their goal and leaving themselves one on one.

He’s read the danger and came to meet it outside his box (and left a bit on the kopite for good measure).

A keeper making mistakes in two games isnt doing fine. Thats not good enough. Once in a while is fine, but its just a matter of time before his mistakes cost us. Needs to improve quickly, ‘good enough’ is t good enough.

I really hope you don't mean Kirkland as one of the best ever England keepers there....

Pickford is obviously boss generally but he does do some very weird things at times. That should be rectified with age and experience though.
Ha ha - no but he was very good and only really stopped in his prime due to his mental health issues. Dave is right in that he needs to calm down but you never want to take too much of that out. Buffon is hardly the calmest. Pickford can be the best of his British generation but he has a way to go

Literally every goalkeeper in world football makes a mistake.

A mistake from a keeper is the equivalent of an outfield player miscontrolling a pass.

Jagielka's mistake and the ref's negligence cost us v Wolves, even if Pickford could have done better.

Pickford made sure that his mistake against Saints didn't cost us by pulling off an unbelievable save.

Every player makes mistakes. No player is faultless. So come off it with your 'not good enough' remarks.

He's the best young goalkeeper in the country. He's just made it to a World Cup semi-final. We've made a good start to the season.

He will improve. He will sharpen up. He has had to come straight back in and play two games without any time to sharpen up in pre-season.

Every keeper does not make mistakes in every game. ‘Good enough’ isnt good enough for a team aiming for CL glory.
I dont care if he’s the best english keeper, get a better non-english keeper then. I want us to improve and win trophies, not be some sort of sentimental home for almost players.
