Mate you're using a sample size of 2 games where he is not match fit after no pre season.Every keeper does not make mistakes in every game. ‘Good enough’ isnt good enough for a team aiming for CL glory.
I dont care if he’s the best english keeper, get a better non-english keeper then. I want us to improve and win trophies, not be some sort of sentimental home for almost players.
I mean Dave has just compared what Pickford did, to what this fella did.
The German goalkeeper, Harald Schumacher, raced towards Battiston as the Frenchman took the shot, missing the goal. Schumacher leapt into the air, twisting his body and colliding with Battiston. In the process Schumacher's hip hit the Frenchman's face. Battiston, clattered, fell to the ground unconscious, with damaged vertebrae and teeth knocked out, later slipping into a coma. Emergency medics had to administer oxygen on the pitch.Michel Platini later said that he thought that Battiston was dead, because "he had no pulse and looked pale".
I mean you defo see how similar they are.

Pickford is in BBC’s team of the week.
I think he’s more than decent, and I think he’ll become even better. I also think a lot of people give him too much rope based on his passport.Mate you're using a sample size of 2 games where he is not match fit after no pre season.
I would love to know who in your opinion would be an upgrade on Pickford that would want to come and we could afford.
Also that bit in gold is hilarious. Let us get back in Europe first, yeah?
I get what you're saying but I disagree with the bold bit.Literally every goalkeeper in world football makes a mistake.
A mistake from a keeper is the equivalent of an outfield player miscontrolling a pass.
Jagielka's mistake and the ref's negligence cost us v Wolves, even if Pickford could have done better.
Pickford made sure that his mistake against Saints didn't cost us by pulling off an unbelievable save.
Every player makes mistakes. No player is faultless. So come off it with your 'not good enough' remarks.
He's the best young goalkeeper in the country. He's just made it to a World Cup semi-final. We've made a good start to the season.
He will improve. He will sharpen up. He has had to come straight back in and play two games without any time to sharpen up in pre-season.
I was speaking in general terms not about only Pickford. He isnt an ‘almost player’ as I think he’ll improve a lot, but we cant keep getting the best of the rest players if we are thinking about top 4.Christ, he's 24, not 34.

Fair enough. Personally, in the premier league I would only put De Gea, Ederson and Lloris ahead of him as certainly better than he is at present. Which would put him as good enough for top 4, especially in a few years. All opinions thoughI think he’s more than decent, and I think he’ll become even better. Im not a scout, so wouldnt know. I could rattle of FM names all day, but we all know the worth of that stuff. I would have loved us to have signed another senior keeper to give Picks some time off and someone to share the pressure with and learn from. Stek isnt that guy.
The club was just in the media talking about us planning for the CL, if thats the goal, I dont get why we shouldnt build towards that. Getting into the CLspots and staying there is glory enough as a start for us, Im not talking about us winning it. Given time I think Jordan will come good for us, but he’s still a bit to raw in some situations.

Pretty sure that keeper only got a yellow for that, Germany has produced some seriously good teams , but, they get an awful lot of big calls go there way in massive important games . They’re the Man U of international footy.
