Well I've been told countless times how much better Butland and Pope are and yet he still starts ahead of them.
I was just making the point that the quality of English/British keepers was always very high but that doesn't seem the case now. I also know nothing much of the other 2 but if they were better than Pickford they would be at a bigger team.

Football isn't really your thing, is it mate?

I can tell because you're expecting Pickford to have Jedi reflexes to stop a point blank bullet header from five yards out.

Look at the time on both of those pictures and it might give you a clue as to why you're being mind-numbingly stupid here.

No mate football is not my thing, nor is Star Trek.

I see the time on the pictures and conclude that you are right, Pickford had no chance of saving the header... however, a top class keeper probably would have.

With the West Ham game, I thought the defence hung Pickford out to dry for the first goal, then he returned the compliment for their second. But the third? Put a foot in the way ffs. I believe in using whatever you have to stop the ball from going in. Get your foot, leg, face, chest, shoulder, elbow, etc. in the way if needs be, it doesn't always need to be a fancy save. I've noticed that Jordan Pickford goes a bit 'Hollywood' with some of his attempted saves at times.

Anyway, that's enough from me. Any more and people will start thinking I don't like the lad.

Let's be honest not many GK's (defences) keep clean sheets in this modern era of togga. De Gea only got his first the other week and all the sides in the league concede at least 1 each game this season (granted they might get the odd CS now and again or a bore draw).
Clean sheets mean nothing to me, I only care about getting those 3 points at the end of the day.

Pickford is a good shot stopper and that's about it. He hasn't got the experience yet to command his area and sort his team out in front of him. Hopefully that will come sooner rather than later.

He does'nt seem to like to use his feet for stopping the ball for some reason, something i have noticed a few times. He would rather try and dive and go for the dramatic save instead of just sticking his leg out. I find it slightly odd given how confident he is using his legs in other parts of the game ie in terms of distribution.
