Pickford is the same height as Keylor Navas who won 3 Champions League titles in a row with Real Madrid. Having the world's best defense in front of you also helps.

Ive been lucky to see some of tbe worlds greatest keepers, Southall, Banks, Shilton Clemence Jennings to name but a few. But I wonder how they would have dealt with the back pass rule and the lighter balls we use today. Pickford isnt up there with them, but into days game hes doing good and as long as he learns from his mistake he will improve.

Tim Howard was an accomplished GK when he joined Everton. He wasn't as good as Martyn or Southall, but not many are. He was a better GK than this erratic lad we have now.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I've never seen him win a game for us by being unbeatable. Never seen him having one of those matches when he just cant be passed.

He had 1 good season with them behind a strong defence and was then given 12 and 1 league games in the next 2 seasons before being punted to us.

On his best day he was average...on his worst day he was a 1 or 2 goal headstart for the opposition.

Southall, Martyn, Myhre and Pickford are all far superior to Tim Howard.

Made up we’ve got Pickford and now that he’s firmly No.1, he’s bringing a lot of extra attention to the club.

There aren’t many in this league better than him. I’d say only De Gea and Ederson, for certain, but De Gea looks to be on the slide at present.

De Gea has been grim for 6 months at least, his ratio of shots face to goals allowed must be shocking at the mo, in the world cup he hardly stopped a shot on target, so its not just a United thing.

I seem to recall he had one particular bad game last season after playing as if he were the matrix for the last 2 seasons, and he hasn't recovered from it. He has done a Joe Hart, just completely lost his game seemingly over night. Its taken Hart 4 years to get over, that's if he has regained his old form at Burnley.

Very odd to see de gea go from superb to sloppy!
