Mate we can't debate every single point. And to me, it's obvious he's a very good prospect and currently a good goalkeeper. There's no point in fixating our debate on that because noone is likely to back down.

Going back to your point about those teams being able to drop their keeper....are they?!

Madrid maybe, Navas is a very good GK.

But at club level, can Utd drop De Gea for Romero or, I think, Randolph?

Can Chelsea drop Kepa for Cabellero?

Lloris for Gazziniga?

Ederson for Bravo?

Allison for Mignolet?

It's an absolute myth that the top clubs have two outstanding keepers breathing down each others necks for a starting spot.

He certainly does lack concentration, as did Allison when he tried to Cruyff turn against Brighton (I think?), costing the RS a goal.

So whilst Pickford needs to improve, so does the world's second most expensive keeper, none other than Brazil's number one.

Context.
All those second string GKs you mention I'd have in goal for Everton in a heartbeat to teach that lad a harsh lesson. We have Stekelenburg. It's contributing to poor focus....and that < is me being lenient on a GK I have no regard for. If he has competition, then who knows?

I like the boy, he plays with a smile on his face, we as fans focus far too much on building players up just to rip them down, he made a mistake, it cost us a point, im more than confident he will make up for it.
He makes mistakes, plural. That's the issue. Not just this derby howler.

I know you know he's not good enough.

Personally Dave you are doing that thing that loads of fans do, projecting 30 years of trophyless years on the lads back, he wasnt even born the last time we won a trophy, its not his fault we have been garbo for the last 30 years dave.
He has made up for it before and will make up for it afterwards the kid will win us games and save us losing games Chelsea away he won us a point in the end

Genuinely mate I don't think you would.

You're upset about the derby, rightly so, and you're not fond of Pickford which is your prerogative.

To suggest that you'd rather have Simon Mignolet in goal for one minute of PL football is something I'm not prepared to accept you genuinely mean. No matter how many times you say it.

Believe me mate, there is no love for that feller from me.
Did you stand outside the old lady waiting in the wind and rain for an autograph and get jibbed? I could understand your hatred then because it was wet and cold or was that just you and the fact you seem to be a walking rain cloud :celebrate:

That's not true. I dont expect trophies in the near future. I dont use him as a whipping boy for historic failure to win silverware. He's been erratic since he arrived - and more especially this season. The derby yesterday was a telling game full of pressure where his faults have been laid bare and costly more than in any other game.

Hes a very young boy Dave, he will learn from it.

You see Mignolet as an inferior keeper to Pickford? I think he was under rated and unfairly dismissed by their supporters. If the Kopites had this feller we have right now they'd have something to complain about.

He's a headless chicken, but people are suggesting he's just young and will evolve. That sounds fanciful. Just look at him. he's a big friggin galoot who's daft as a brush.

I wont be wrong on Pickford. I'm utterly convinced of that. There's no way this feller cuts out the BS from his game. He's incapable. Not in his make up.

It's 12.11 am Tuesday Morning, the derby ended 30 hours ago and Dave is still freaking going on about Pickford, that's gotta be some record that
