I like the boy, he plays with a smile on his face, we as fans focus far too much on building players up just to rip them down, he made a mistake, it cost us a point, im more than confident he will make up for it.

Personally Dave you are doing that thing that loads of fans do, projecting 30 years of trophyless years on the lads back, he wasnt even born the last time we won a trophy, its not his fault we have been garbo for the last 30 years dave.

This is a very sensible post mate

I don't like it, it's unnerving

@davek tge game was over the minute you said you'd have mignolet over pickford.

I'm this close - - - to outing you as a kopite!

Dear me mate. Go watch some real mistakes game after game, go watch mignolet YouTube clips

This has gone further than wumming..
Mate he said yesterday he'd have ANY other keeper in the league over him. I'm not surprised to find that is assessment of a players ability matches his choice of managers.

My best mate's twin brother works at Finch Farm and he said that Jordan is absolutely mortified by that freak RS goal. Apparently he's spent the last 24 hours apologising to all and sundry.

I just hope it doesn't dent the kid's confidence. The last thing we need is our only decent goalkeeper becoming a bag of nerves. A warm reception on Wednesday night should help in that regard.

Burn the witch !!

I enjoy @davek flipped comments most of the time , it makes for interesting debates, and his points are actually relevant 90% of the time.

This just stinks tho.

For him to say he'd have hennesey and the like over pickford is just trolling.

He doesn't actually think that.

God am I actually getting wound up and trolled by dave now myself?!

*punches self in face

Good work troll master

Every keeper makes mistakes. De Gea makes mistakes especially on his near post but De Gea gets more attention for his good points rather than his mistakes and rightly so. Just let it go and stop your propaganda BS. I am not defending Pickfords mistake as it was a howler but a mistake is what it was and is. Let it go and don't stew on it. Don't concentrate on the negatives and look to the positives. Pickford overall is undeniably a positive.
...another comparison of Pickford with one of the best GKs in the world.

Davek,DE GEA has made mistakes this season, last season, during the world cup etc,so it does happen to even the so called best keepers-but anyway, thats the end-pickford is a fantastic keeper and i am very happy we have him,hes made mistakes and will continue do make them, what keeper does not, even the Liverpool keeper has made 2 for them, one v Leicester and another v whoever it was and people rave about him, think the man city keeper has made them but a lot less-

Some people dont see the scale of the problem we have against Liverpool, and their backing up Pickford is part of that problem.

It's an unvirtuous circle we've gotten into as a fanbase: the acceptance of smackdowns from that lot which is conveyed to the players who then accept their 'fate' in a derby which is then accepted again by fans and then on we go to more and more reversals.

Understand this: no wins in a derby since 2010 and no wins at Anfield for 19 years is an unbearable stigma and an utter humiliation that cant be handled by many of us anymore.

Pickford's howler and his woeful post match comments have to be seen in that context.

He was the reason we lost, but not the reason we didn't win. I understand fans fury with him, but he'll know that as well. In not sure attacking him will help anyone tbh. He must bounce back though.

I cant stand Paul Merson but he was spot on about Pickford and his woeful levels of concentration. He needs to work on that aspect of his game far more than he needs the backing of any fans.

Be professional. Not too much to ask of an Everton and England GK like is it?
