What about the mistakes he has made this season and last
Neves free kick was his fault
Ings hit the bar after his mistake
Origi
Arnotivic goal at the end of last season that somehow went straight through him
Van dijk

Etc
I agree we should just give Stekelenburg the starts until the end of the season. A player with this many mistakes doesn't deserve to play for the great Everton challenging for a Europa League spot. We'll be lucky to get £5 million for him at the end of the season. These 1 sided comments are getting really boring.

I can't wait until he bins us off. Then people will realise what we would be missing without him.

If you’re looking for a keeper who doesn’t make mistakes then he doesn’t exist. In the last few weeks alone I’ve seen De Gea beaten on his near post, Ederson give away a needless penalty, Lloris with too many errors to name, and who can forget Allison letting a shot from Red Star fly straight into the middle of his goal to go with his botched cruyff turn against Leicester (or do mistakes not count if they’re airbrushed from history afterwards?).

Lloris messed up in the World Cup final and he’s recognised as one of the best int he world. Courtois can’t save a shot on target at the moment for Real. Neuer hasn’t played well for about two years. Who is it exactly that you want in goal?

Now do a list for every keeper in the prem and you will see everyone of them has made mistakes or should have done better and you will probably find Pickford in the top 3 of least mistakes or should have done better. When you finally learn that football results are based on mistakes then you might realise that a mistake does not make a bad player.

Hopefully it's starting to calm now, the Calpol is having its effect. We have the brightest group we've had for some time I reckon, good keepers are in short supply and most intelligent Blues know the score. Our away performances against the better teams have been consistently good, even if we haven't got the points to prove it.

He has been erratic this year. In first half dozen games I thought he was poor, and making awful decisions. Such as against West Ham.

Then the next half a dozen games he was exceptionally good. Some match changing performances in our favour.

But then he throws in the clanger of all clangers.

He has mental weaknesses. Not in terms of lack of belief and mental fragility. More that his mentality means he takes unnecessary risks. He's far too good to make these brainfarts. He needs a bit of humility and to learn because his ability is elite level.

Agree with this. Top level goalkeepers such as De Gea tip that over the bar all day long.

I can see why he´s done it. Basically earns us the draw rather than facing another corner but you´ve just got to be safety first at all times unless you´re cruising in a game.

Did you see the reflex of de gea against City when the ball just flew over his head. Pickford would have tipped that over the bar as it was straight at him.

Think Pickford has already been recognised as a top level keeper and was guilty of a bad mistake just like other top level keepers
