You are unrealistic in your expectations of human beings who will always naturally slip up from time to time. Professional players lose concentration all the time. Its why defenders get done by offside traps, why strikers scuff shots etc
If you only want players who don't make mistakes & never lose concentration then you may as well give up on supporting the club & football in general.

Pickford is not in the same league as De Gea. Right now, Pickford is Joe Hart of yesteryear, which isn´t a bad thing because for a while Hart was good enough. He just wasn´t top level.

Didn't say he was but do you see calls for de geas head when he messes up. De Gea has proven himself over the years to be top level but with the world cup and some dodgy performances this season I do not see people calling for him to be dropped. Pickford has years on his side and he will make errors probably every season he is in the game just like every other keeper. We all called him out for his error. He knew it was an error and apologised but I wouldn't be calling for him to be dropped or sold as that is just knee jerk and a bit ridiculous

Which games are these? He looked ropey against Southampton, West Ham and dropped a clanger at the weekend. Thanks rest he’s performed well in.

Aren't you forgetting the first game of the season at Wolves? He was 'kin dreadful there. And besides notably bad errors in all those games he's been shanking kicks out of his own box and running out of his goal like a pub player all season.

He is an accident waiting to happen that lad, you know it.

Oh he was definitely to blame. He needs to show signs that he's maturing and learning. I still have faith in him, but he does need to grow up and stop overcomplicating things.

He gets caught in two minds on a regular basis. At this level and as the established national GK I find that utterly alarming.

I think we all accept it. Pickford accepts it, Silva accepts it. It was a balls up but he isn't all of a sudden a useless keeper....he is still an excellent keeper who is prone to mistakes as all keepers are.

I think he is Englands goalie probably because he is the best English keeper and now rated as a top keeper in the world. But haven't some people on here been calling for other English keepers to take his place here at Everton.....laughable really. Total knee jerk reactions

Absolutely not.

Howard was ok for where Everton were at that time when he signed and as football progressed and Everton progressed his absolute woefulness was clearly apparent.
