I don't think people are praising him all they are doing is pointing out it was a mistake. I'm totally with you that he cost us a point and it was a basic error under not much pressure. However he has played well for the vast majority of games so given a choice he would still be my number 1. If he keeps making mistakes like this obviously it would be up for review but now we have got to get behind him.

Didn't you start Pickfordgate. Most of us recognised his balls up and put it down as a bad error others seen it as a chance to twist the knife and try to convince us that he is crap and always been crap which in itself is hilarious. The majority of us are more astute to be caught out or sucked in by such ramblings.

He got more clean sheets in one season for us than baby joe hart has gotten in his career.

One thing I like about him though is that he has a strong, outgoing personality on the field.

But the goal was really bad keeping - sunday morning goalies I knew were capable of similar mishaps - and he deserves some harsh criticism.

To be fair at the same age Southall was out on loan to Port Vale.

Think everyone has accepted this, it’s just The Cry arsing from you and a couple of others who seem to be unable to accept it in an adult and normal way.

and?? you do realise the defence has a big say in clean sheets. I mean Sunderland, and Evertons defence last season wouldn't contribute very well to keeping clean sheets. Big nev let 7 in against Holland, 6 against Villa, 5 against Liverpool so would you blame Nev or the defence.
