I think he is Englands goalie probably because he is the best English keeper and now rated as a top keeper in the world. But haven't some people on here been calling for other English keepers to take his place here at Everton.....laughable really. Total knee jerk reactions

No way is he an excellent keeper. If Southall was excellent and the gold standard then Pickford is a long way.

One thing I like about him though is that he has a strong, outgoing personality on the field.

But the goal was really bad keeping - sunday morning goalies I knew were capable of similar mishaps - and he deserves some harsh criticism.

In all honesty mikey, he’s probably on par with Howard when he signed. An agile shot stopper with poor awareness.

I'm not sure if even the head of the Tim Howard fan club would describe him as an agile shot stopper.

The truth hurts mate. We have, in reality, a bang average mid-PL level GK. If you dont believe that go and check out the PL GK performing stats for this season so far. He is slap bang in the middle of most indicators.

It is not just my opinion. He performed admirably on the world stage and got rave reviews and noticed all over the world and the Everton players rate him very highly to vote him our best player. Just little instances that we notice and agree with.....well 99% of us...the rest don't matter.
