He went from over confident to having none after the derby. We need a decent back up, to give him an extended break
What decent ‘back up’ would come here and actually test Pickford?

Does he have an option?Finding it a bit weird that some of Silva’s supporters are blaming a lot on Pickford.
But Silva keeps picking Pickford.
It’s mashing my head.
Does he have an option?
I'd drop him though - and stick a corner flag in between the posts.
He needs a GK bought for him this summer.
What do you want him to do? I bet the club would love it if the £30M the divvioes forked out on Pickford was losing value with that daft get on the bench.Convenient
So was Joe Hart, now look where he is.He's 24. Very young in goalkeeping years
He's absolutley spot on about Pickford except for one thing: it hasn't been thr case he's been a clown since the WC, he's been a clown since he arrived.Tony Cascarino and @davek appear to share the same view. Come to think of it I don't think I have seen Dave and Cascarino in a room together, are they one and the same person...
Writing in his column in The Times, Tony Cascarino says: “ Jordan Pickford played OK for Everton against Watford but I don’t think he’s been the same since he came back from the World Cup.
“Many England goalkeepers over the years seem to lose an edge once they get settled as England No 1, such as David James and Joe Hart.
“Yes, Pickford is playing behind a poor defence but he just feels a bit like a court-jester goalkeeper — he’s a bit erratic and scattergun.

How anyone could have been conned by a Championship keeper, who's main task at Sunderland was rto pick balls out the back of his own net, I'll never know. I, for one, was onto this feller almost immediately.
Turnip Southgate choosing him for England's WC team has shielded him from criticism and obscured the fact he is a Championship GK masquerading as a top flight keeper. There's no shadow of a doubt about how poor he is.
Don't be changing the past Dave mate, you don't clean up at the end of year awards by being a clown. He was good last season, he's gash atm though. He's absolutley spot on about Pickford except for one thing: it hasn't been thr case he's been a clown since the WC, he's been a clown since he arrived.

Wolves had 4 shots on target and 3 of them went in. Unless we're crediting him with not throwing the ball into his own net now I'm not sure how we're coming to the conclusion that he did us a massive favour there. Not even sure he's 'gash atm'.
The amount of goals that are scored against us from inside the box suggests much more of a problem with the defence simply being completely dreadful.
Pickford's clearly part of that to an extent and at the moment does look very nervous. Then again it'd have been 3/4 to Watford if not for him the other day, and Wolves would have had about 6.
