Horrendous keeper

He's absolutley spot on about Pickford except for one thing: it hasn't been thr case he's been a clown since the WC, he's been a clown since he arrived.

How anyone could have been conned by a Championship keeper, who's main task at Sunderland was rto pick balls out the back of his own net, I'll never know. I, for one, was onto this feller almost immediately.

Turnip Southgate choosing him for England's WC team has shielded him from criticism and obscured the fact he is a Championship GK masquerading as a top flight keeper. There's no shadow of a doubt about how poor he is.

I don't think he is quite that bad but he is not covering himself in glory at the moment. If we had a keeper able to command his 6 yard line we may not be in the same position as we find ourselves in. I can't imagine the defence has the confidence of the keeper (and vice versa to be fair).

I'm seriously thinking now that if I was brands I would see if I could talk Cech out of a retirement on a one year deal. He is a keeper who does deal with crosses and maybe a year under/training with him might do Pickford the world of good.

Look at Burnleys form since they ditched Joe Hart. Pickford needs dropped immediately, he's a massive part of our defensive issues. I'd give Virginia a run until the season ends.

I think this has been a significant issue for a while and one that doesn't get talked about enough. If I was defending in front of him I'd want to knock his block off. He's a jumped up primadonna who shows very little respect for the other players at times.

Difference is Burnley had two very goalies to step in.

We have Stek and a guy who never played in our furst team yet.



That said, I would be inclined to give Virginia a run as well.

They’re not. But he’s not helping with his weird form this season. But has got a little more consistent last few matches.
