There really is one constant when you analyse Pickford's performances, especially when using stats rather than your, eyes along with a rudimentary understanding of football. That is, he plays behind a shambolic defence and a non existent midfield, therefore,he has to be far more involved in the game than many keepers who play for functional teams.
I'm not saying Pickford is great, but, he is far from being one of our biggest problems. I am not really a fan of his, but, this season, there is a case for saying he could be our player of the season. He is probably not top 4 level, but, he is far better than most of his team mates, also, he is just about getting to the age when a keeper comes into his own. His physical limitations, not being big enough for the premier league, will always hold him back, but, while he isn't top 4 level, he is certainly at a good enough level for this current Everton team.
Should we, by some miracle, stay up, Pickford is probably a long way down the list of players that we should replace. If we go down, he is one of our more sellable assets. Seriously lads, he is the least of our problems.
