This is very true; he said he knew loads of stats last night but he could not be bothered explaining what they were.

No mate, he is Englands number one and our second most consistent perormer in this awful season. You have made your bed and appear too stubborn to get out of it when you could occasionally put your hands up and admit he had a good game/month/season.

As for Richie, we are not holding on to him at all, he is just our player.

I can't be any clearer than this: being our second best player is not a compliment or a positive point in his favor. Neither is playing for England. They are irrelevant reference points.

It does not mean he's good at football. It does not mean he is playing well. You have to compare him to the rest of the league. And that is not pretty.

But he is playing well, he really is. People like you wait for him to get beaten by a worldie then give the big "his feet were in the wrong place/he was too far off his line..etc"

Yeah, we're conceding the most or close to the most goals from outside the box every year because they're all worldies, I get it.

It's a percentage thing, no not every goal is going to be saved, but the good keepers get more of those. It seems obvious but apparently is lost on people. I'm not expecting Pickford to save everything, I do think there are plenty who save more.

There really is one constant when you analyse Pickford's performances, especially when using stats rather than your, eyes along with a rudimentary understanding of football. That is, he plays behind a shambolic defence and a non existent midfield, therefore,he has to be far more involved in the game than many keepers who play for functional teams.

I'm not saying Pickford is great, but, he is far from being one of our biggest problems. I am not really a fan of his, but, this season, there is a case for saying he could be our player of the season. He is probably not top 4 level, but, he is far better than most of his team mates, also, he is just about getting to the age when a keeper comes into his own. His physical limitations, not being big enough for the premier league, will always hold him back, but, while he isn't top 4 level, he is certainly at a good enough level for this current Everton team.

Should we, by some miracle, stay up, Pickford is probably a long way down the list of players that we should replace. If we go down, he is one of our more sellable assets. Seriously lads, he is the least of our problems.

Right he's somehow not tanked his value meaning he absolutely should be sold. This is true with Richarlison and probably Dom as well.

Not top 4 teams, but, I think the likes of Spurs, West Ham, etc.would be interested. He's not a bad keeper at all, he just isn't big enough by today's standards to ever be top class.
