One mistake ey. Pickfords made God knows how many
He's made 1 this season that actually counts as a mistake that resulted in a goal. I checked it out. It was the Son one.

That's according to Opta, I looked earlier.

Pickford's a decent-middling goalkeeper. But if you think he's more of a problem than the divs he's playing ahead of then I despair.

You know that win v Utd that's the only thing keeping us in touching distance right now? Well he made a few very good saves in that game including one right at the end after Micheal Keane let Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best finishers in world football, have 5 yards of space in stoppage time.

Made two unbelievable stops v City that should have helped get a result had, oh shock, Keane not switched off at the front post and given Foden a tap-in.

Everton can improve all over the pitch but you see with England how good a GK Pickford can be when he's not playing behind complete liabilities.

We have some utter tosh in our squad yet our fans are obsessed with slating the actual better performers.

We honestly deserve what we get.

We have had some terrible cba performers this season. Pickford is by no means perfect but by no means the worst

I didn't say he was worse than some of the dross in front of him and I don't deny he's had a much improved season. But he's still a major part of the problem and doesn't inspire confidence. You build a decent team from the back and the keeper is a priority and I think we could do better for less outlay

I don't think he is a major problem. Because he plays excellently for England behind a more competent, settled defence. And he's been generally good this season and for the last year now.

You could have prime Buffon in net and he wouldn't inspire enough confidence in Keane and Holgate to make them good defenders.

Of course, but he was also playing behind a brilliant defence.

With England, who's defence isn't amazing as individuals but is very well drilled by Southgate, Pickford has played a key role in reaching a SF and a final. He's a good goalkeeper. Not amazing, not bad.

There's an article in the Athletic today about Mina's importance to the team. Because he's a defensive leader and is the one who actually lifts people to the next level ahead of Pickford, and then if he makes mistakes we can put it down to him.

But when you've got Holgate playing everyone onside or Keane allowing players free runs at goal then I'm not putting blame on the GK, unless it's something like the Son goal which, clearly, he should have done much better with.

Terrible mistakes in the Burnley game? What are you on about?

Yeah, that Wolves goalkeeper has made 5 errors leading to shots this season - so five actual mistakes - and one of those resulted in a goal.

Pickford has made 1 error resulting in a goal, and that was against Spurs when Son scored - it went down as a goalkeeping mistake. That's the only one (leading to a shot too) that he's made all year.

Jose Sa has had a brilliant season when it comes to shot-stopping but he's made some absolutely horrendous errors. He literally made one against us in the game at Molineux and somehow it just went across the face of goal.
LOL. You are watching different matches. Pickford has the the worst stats. Most goal coincided outside the box in the Prem. High ball in the the box and the midget is nowhere. If he comes out, it is in kamikaze mode and you dont know (and the guys in front of him neither) what will happen next. Catching a ball without fuss is not in his ability.

Mina is a huge miss. I saw some stats about how many we concede per 90 when our defenders are playing.

His was 1.10 goal per 90.
Mykolenko was second with 1.57.
Kenny was worst with 1.93.

Desperately need mina fit for the rest of the run in. Him and mykolenko are the only 2 that don't fill me with dread whenever they get the ball.

All the others put pickford under so much pressure.

I think he’s massively under appreciated here. I think once he goes to another club he will be seen in a different light.
No way. Let's see where he goes. Those interested clubs will surprise you for sure.

We have no good performers. The United performance getting a star treatment says it all really. He was fine and did his job but that's a 6 out of 10 game for most keepers. He had a few saves to make but nothing that troubling and any of them going in would have been really bad. The standard is just so low.
