If he's happy and wants to stay then build a spine of a team with him at its base. Cashing in would achieve nothing, the players to offload are those on astronomic salaries who either aren't good enough for EFC or who haven't got the passion and fight that we expect.

Burnley may ask for 20m but I would expect him to go for 15m if they get relegated.

Their finances are incredibly bleak if they go down. They will have to cash in.

Not that I want him. Rather just keep England's Number 1.

Maybe, but I think they get more than 15m to be honest.

My point is that swapping those keepers probably would make us 10m tops. So what's the point.

There is no way we get 60m for a goalkeeper. This is crazy talk.

That would make him the third most expensive keeper ever ( I think ) and one of those was that bonkers fee Chelsea paid for Kepa.
England No.1...better protected by an elite defence. Hed's a shot stopper and that's what a title chasing team would have in a flash.

If Allison was behind our defence he'd be as bad as Pickford.

His form right now is an aberration. You know that.
Has a functional back line that is protecting him. And every keeper ever played needs at least functional back line in front of them. Some of the worst defending I've seen from a Everton squad this season. Yesterday should have been another clean sheet but for individual mistake in the back line. Comfortably our best keeper since Southall, difference being domestic trophies. Although I hold Martyn in high regard.

Martyn was a giant in comparison to Pickford.

Pickford cant focus all game for most games like great GKs do.

Not that it matters too much but it bothers me a bit, this narrative that Pickford single-handedly won us this game.

The Mendy and long-range Barnes efforts were pretty comfortable for him even if those saves looked good. The close-ranger from Barnes was a legit worldy, though. Certainly wasn’t the Alamo, as the media would have us believe, mind.

I think if that Barnes goal goes in mate, we capitulate ala Burnley away and we don't pick up the points.

That 10 minute spell with the 3 saves were absolutely vital and ot actually galvanised the lads I think then to dig just as deep and see the game out.
