Not that it matters too much but it bothers me a bit, this narrative that Pickford single-handedly won us this game.

The Mendy and long-range Barnes efforts were pretty comfortable for him even if those saves looked good. The close-ranger from Barnes was a legit worldy, though. Certainly wasn’t the Alamo, as the media would have us believe, mind.

Nah that Mendy save was brilliant. The thing that Jordan Pickford genuinely is elite at in his field is his footwork.

As we seen with the Azpilicueta save against Chelsea, his ability to move across the goal quickly before diving makes saves like this and Mendy possible. 4 world class stops in the last 2 games.

Dont get anyone again even having again anything bad to say that goes against Pickford after those 3 wonder saves in the 2nd half in mins yesterday, the 1st to the top left is class, the 2nd you may say is even better as its so close as comes through a few players, and the 3rd it bounces just infront of him, i will always say it blame him for real proper errors not ones that people make up as a mistake in their heads just to get the moan in about him

I thought the Barnes close range shot wasn't far off the two last week.

He has to quickly shift his body and move his feet across the line, shot is coming through a few bodies so wouldn't have a clear view and once he's got his hand to it he's got to make sure it evades Vardy who was ready to tap it in (see Schmeichel for the Holgate goal of keeper just palming back into six yard box). All in all another extraordinary save.

Think Pickford currently is treating this period like he's playing for England in a world cup, mini run of 6-7 games as we know his flaws in a 40 + game season.

Hopefully he'll start next season well with the World cup in November.

Let's twist that a bit, do you see Pope ever having these kind of performance's as i dont think i have seen him have one, not that i can remember

Pope's a very solid keeper. Excellent handling and he made two brilliant stops when Burnley got 1-1 at West Ham right at the end of the game. Average distribution which is why none of the top clubs are interested.

Don't see anything in this as Pickford won't leave if team stay up especially in an international tournament year.

The 2nd and 3rd are great because they are palmed away from danger, no chance of a rebound. You only have to look at the Holgate goal for an example of a keeper doing that poorly.

There is no way we get 60m for a goalkeeper. This is crazy talk.

That would make him the third most expensive keeper ever ( I think ) and one of those was that bonkers fee Chelsea paid for Kepa.

I think it was the best of the lot, tbh. Not only did he have almost no time to react but he also had to take a low shot in the centre of the goal, save it, and make sure it didn't pop back out into an area where a Leicester player had a tap in. Outstanding save.
