Silly to sell him now he coming into his peak. Why put up with his silly antics for years then sell once he calmed down

Im struggling to see your logic here Dave. Is he 'easlly worth 60 million? Or is he a keeper who only has one good game in 4? Here's a clue for you, it's not possible for both of those statements, which you have just made, to be correct.

For what it's worth, while he is no Gordon Banks, he is as good as any keeper I've seen at Everton in the last 60 years, outside of Gordon West and Neville Southall.

Hes been phenomenal for us the last 18 months or so and seems to have cut out the majority of his erratic mistakes / palming rebounds straight into the path of strikers. Would be crazy to sell him, unless we pay through the nose for someone, whoever we brought in would be a downgrade.

I think clubs will pay the money, and I think we should be asking for more.
He is England's #1 and it's not really close.
He is worth the money to us and his performances look like they will keep us in the league. Compare him to say Rice. Is he worth £100m?. Nope, but he is worth that to West Ham, and they will probably get the money they ask for.

Coming into his peak years, English player pricing, arguably the best shot stopper in the league. To someone like spurs, he could be the difference between champions League football or not. Is it silly money? Yes. But, what is the going rate for one of the best players in their position in the league, and also in the England team?

Rice£100m
Reece James, doubt Chelsea would entertain any fee. But if they did sell, it would be silly money

Sterling if he had 2 years on his contract and not 1?
Hell. Even Grealish went for silly money, cause he was worth that o Villa.

No he hasnt. Hes been outstanding in the previous couple of games, but thats not what his normal level has been while playing for Everton. He is a better keeper now than he was a couple of seasons ago, there is no doubt about that, but, and Id love to be vaulted here come the end of next season, experience points to this being a period of good form before he falls back into his typical a few good games/a few bad games/a bunch of okay games-form again.

Over the last 18 months yes, very much so, Pickford has been 6/10 at worst every match, produced some unreal saves, improved hugely on his previous mental lapses and the only mistake I can remember is Spurs’ second in a game where our tactics set us up to fail anyway.
Pickford is now just as steady as Pope has been for years but with more big game winning performances in him.

If we want to progress we need to keep the players who consistently perform but most importantly perform in big games if we ever want to win anything again.

No, he hasnt. Look back through this thread, if he has been good to very good for 15months, you will surely see that in the postings. Or look up his stats.

Ill save you some time researching, he has been pretty mediocre. Like i said, some good games, some bad and a bunch of okays.

And no, I dont want him to be bad or mediocre. I want him to be the best keeper he can be every single time he plays for us. If you think thats what youve seen from him for 15 months, there is no reason to disguss this any further as we wont agree. We have seen his peak form the past weeks. That is not the same Pickford we have been served for most of his time here.
