Yes he has, try actually watching a game instead of being a stat nonce. He’s stood up over the majority of the donkeys in the squad
I have, thats where the problem comes in.
Yes, hes been better than a lot of our players this season. Based on that logic, the smartest kid in special ed is also the smartest in the whole school.

No, he hasnt. Look back through this thread, if he has been good to very good for 15months, you will surely see that in the postings. Or look up his stats.

Ill save you some time researching, he has been pretty mediocre. Like i said, some good games, some bad and a bunch of okays.

And no, I dont want him to be bad or mediocre. I want him to be the best keeper he can be every single time he plays for us. If you think thats what youve seen from him for 15 months, there is no reason to disguss this any further as we wont agree. We have seen his peak form the past weeks. That is not the same Pickford we have been served for most of his time here.
No player in the history of football has been the best player that they can be in every game they play.

Pickford has not dipped below a 7/10 in pretty much any game in the last 15 months since the Derby.

Hes been consistently good during that time.

People, like you (and others), are just waiting for him to make a mistake to reinforce your dated opinion on him. Which is dead sad.

Most really good players are capable of staying withing that peak form for more than a month at a time. Lets see if Jordan is capable of that this time.

Saying apickford never dropped lower than a 7/10 the past 15months is laughable.

I judge him based on his career with us, you judge him based on flower and unicorns. We’ve had this exact dance before, ended in Pickford reverting to his old form and you taking a step back from posting about him. Lets both hope he can keep it up and become the keeper you already think he is. Id be dead happy about that.

You do realise just changing your opinion and being happy that he has completely turned round his Everton career is fine yeno?

I rightly slated him for his form after the Anfield mistake, and now I'm rightly applauding him for being our best player and, at the moment, almost singlehandedly keeping us in this division.

You say we've had this dance before, that was 3 managers ago. How long are you gonna wait wishing that the Everton goalkeeper costs us just so you can (wrongly) say you're right to a load of faceless strangers on an Internet forum?

It takes way less typing just to say that he's turned it round and become a really good goalkeeper.

Noone is paying 60milm for Pickford. Yes, hes been very good recently and its not the first time. Lets see if he falls back into his old routine before hes claimed to be amazing again. Theres a reason people are very black/white on Pickford.
When you say "old routine" what do you mean, because he's had pretty consistent solid performance for about 18 months.

Totally. Do you know the expression ‘once bitten, twice shy’ and understand why it would be applicable here?

I partly agree tho, he has improved and he is now a much better keeper than he was.

Indeed.
Seen Allison, De Gea, Loris, Ederson, and that media favourite Ramsdale make howlers and yet Pickford's every error gets put under the microscope.
He's never let England down and is now showing form which is contributing hugely to our fight against relegation. His ability as a keeper was never in doubt for me, but his mental attitude has improved considerably over the past 18 or so months (think Ancelotti gets some credit for the latter).
Our defence in front of him has not been great to say the least, and as a goalie you need to have total confidence in them.
I think that he can become even better in an organising of his back line and also as an inspiration to his teammates.
Some on here have even advocated him for the captaincy.....not sure about that yet, but if he keeps up his form consistently it could happen.
Just shades Gordon for player of the year for me.

Pickford ticks all but one box for me. Coming out for the ball and relieving the defence of pressure....................must say the last month or so he has started to come off his line to claim and the difference it makes is immense. I feel they have been working on it and it is now starting to pay dividends. Cracking keeper with a slight weak point but still the best in English keeper by far

Pleased for the lad, we’ve all given him grief in the past (not keeping hold of a shot/cross from me) but he now seems to keep hold of everything and is producing some spectacular saves. Keep the confidence up lad and keep on doing what you are doing…..
