It makes no sense to me how posters can state as fact that wed be in a worse place if Pickford was sold.

There is an enire world of players. This one is 29 and has 5 years at the top at best.

Baines, Coleman, Pickford...2 players where they were kept too long instead of selling and replacing...and a 3rd about to provide another lesson in how not to manage a business.



£20mil 'may' be his value but his potential value is far higher.

Pickford simply has to be moved pm and hopefully for £50mil

29 is definitely not old for a goalkeeper

Pickford is a top keeper and anyone we signed for £30m or less would be worse in the short term

They might be a young keeper who becomes as good or maybe even better long term but I don’t think we can afford to weaken ourselves next season in any position after staying up in the last half hour of the season!

Agreed, for me I wouldn't talk until they start offering 60m plus. Losing him would impact us much more than losing Onana. Pickford pulled out crucial saves two seasons in a row that helped keep us up. I would rather sell the latter, as much as I would rather keep both if we have to sell one player to fund transfers then we have more strength in midfield areas. If we do sell Pickford, Henderson might be a solid alternative

i’d hate to see him go, even if he went for 60m we could improve the squad but we’ll be weaker at GK and he’s kept us up past two seasons so that would really worry me

but also i wouldnt begrudge him wanting to leave to play for Man U in the Champions League

This narrative he kept us up is mad, like me saying Tarkowski kept us up with all the headers and blocks he did or Coady did because he cleared one of the line v Bournemouth.

He’s a goal Keeper it’s his jobs to make saves, he’s good at it, but he’s not one of the worlds best imo. I still never feel comfortable with him on a high ball coming into his box and he tries to punch everything and never catches shots even comfortable ones, he parries them in front of him and dives on them.

We’d be mad not to sell for 60mil in the situation we’re in.

Richie was sold far too cheaply.

The estimates quoted by Kenada Blue is beyond the pail.

Not sure he was … I just think we over paid .

No question his value as a player went up by more than 10m in his time here but we probably paid 20m to much for him

I’d want a world record fee for a keeper. He’s better than Kepa who went for that amount. We probably won’t get it but that’s what I’d want for us to part with Pickford. If it’s 40 mill then we may as well just have found another quick kid like Gordon and mugged Newcastle off again for that amount.
