We got a record fee for a CB? How much more were we supposed to get?The rest yes - Stones should’ve gone for more. He was always going to achieve what he has.

Rooney is the only bad one that was just us messing up imo. Arteta was weird with how late it happened and Barkley was what that was.Ball, (Michael), Lescott, Jeffers, the sick note we sold to City, (cant even remember his name). Rooney is always indexed, with the benefit of hindsight, but he was the world record teenager transfer at the time. I think.

You keep mentioning players values doubling like that just happens here. Would just be nice to get anything back for our bought crap never mind a profit. If they both double in value then happy days.
He seems obsessed with young players, we’re a complete mess of a club but let’s get rid of the one consistent thing and possibly hardest position to replace with a good level of consistency in the premier league. You’re argument is to get rid of a player who’s quality now, in case he becomes bad in a few years time and you recommend we sign a keeper who is worse than Pickford now so that he might be as good as him in a few years time.
Why are you surprised so many disagree with this?
Yeah getting rid of schmeichel and not replacing him with a quality goalkeeper. is what done Leicester in in my opinion. I don’t want Everton making that same mistake. He seems obsessed with young players, we’re a complete mess of a club but let’s get rid of the one consistent thing and possibly hardest position to replace with a good level of consistency in the premier league.
The media couldn't care less if Everton sold Pickford and nor could they care if he is sold for less or more than he is worth. All they want is something to fill column inches to generate advertising revenue. Have a look at what the media write about every other club and you will quickly see that they have players leaving every one of themDon't believe this rumour for a second. It's the media trying to sell one of our best players for far less than he's worth, straight after we narrowly avoided relegation. Zero surprise there.
I think the dilemma for Everton is that Pickford was essential to survival for the last two seasons and it would be a massive risk to lose him. But Pickford's value is only going to decrease year on year from now so from a financial perspective it would be great to be able to sell him and replace him (while making a significant profit) with a GK that would add as much value on the pitch as Pickford does. But that is not easy. This would be a terrible sale right now. I see good keepers that might be available but pickfords kept us in the league.
Didn’t single us out as if we were special, I’d expect them to be doing the same to any team in and around relegation. They love generating rage clicks from fanbases. They definitely have their darlings though. The media couldn't care less if Everton sold Pickford and nor could they care if he is sold for less or more than he is worth.
