I was thinking this earlier when watching him warm up. The alternative is that if you love goalkeeping and making saves then better to play in a team where you do more of it.

I take your point - I don't think he needs to take a back seat to any keeper in the league - but I'm not sure his career has exactly been a failure...

Not been a failure but he definitely could've played at a much higher level if not so loyal

Not a failure, but he'll likely retire with few (or very likely no) major honours. If he'd agitated for a move it may have ended the same way, of course, but he might have been at a club that had opportunities to win something. He won't win anything here.

He's had a great career, but he's settled for an ugly bird with an ok-ish personality when he could have had a supermodel with a fantastic sense of humour.
