At Sunderland, I never got the great hype around him. He was a good shotstopper but I didn’t think he was a great player. Even the likes of mignolet looked really good there but at Liverpool he looks suspect (while still a good keeper)

In the game at OT, frankly I would expect a keeper to save the lukaku goal. Leaving a huge gap in the near post isn’t something I would expect a keeper to do. He also kicked it straight to mata forcing Williams (I think) to concede a FK outside the box and thankfully for him the FK hit the post.

lol

I rate him highly but see some excuses that the team are playing poorly, poor defence in front of him.
Let's not forget he was in a relegated team last season surely not much better than we are at the moment and looked better for them.
He like too many others is going through a bad patch and lacks a bit of confidence, I remember early in the season his kicking/passing was a joy to watch, recently it's been a touch scary at times.

I believe along with Keane, Klassen and Sandro he'll come on really strong once we find our feet.

On a different note

Does any think Stek is lining up a coaching role? Each home game he comes out whilst the teams are out and warms up Pickford.

That's the GK Coach job surely?

As China Crisis once said "Wishful Thinking" !!

..it really can't help playing behind what he's having to play behind. Probably wrong to judge any of the acquisitions at the moment.
Hes used to it coming from a side that leaked goals last year - he has saved us points in the games we have won - he must be thinking what the hell have I come to with our defence ATM!

..and 'defence' is what the whole team do when the opposition has the football, it's not just the four players ahead of them. I'm really concerned with the huge holes in front of our full backs.

Good Pro Stek.

Won major titles throughout his career, played in different countries. World cup finalist and over 50 caps for his country.

Pickford can learn a lot from him and thats why he is number 2 keeper and Robles is in the bin to be taken away.

i think robles will prob end up in the spanish 2nd or 3rd division...

I forgot to add the manager who can't pick his nose never mind a balanced team!
If you think about it Idrissa Gueye was outstanding for us as one defensive midfielder - then we blew another fortune on Snides, and it all gone wrong from there - we have no pace no width, and no right back when CO Co the clown plays he just ambles forwards!
leaving crosses galore coming in burnley exposed this all of the game after our good opening 15 minutes - pickford was just left to deal with crosses like they were free kicks!

..not sure Gueye played much as the lone defensive midfielder last season.
