Kenwright leaving rumour

Do we know this for a fact? If so, why has Kenwright been stealing a wage for the last two years?

I genuinely don't believe that Moshiri is as hands on as most people think he is. The club employs experts to excel in their specialist areas. Walsh was hired for his ability to spot talent. Moshiri just sanctions the spend as recommended by his experts. Hindsight is a great thing, but every decision you mention was supported by most people at the time.

Yes, I think it is very apparent that those decisions were driven by Moshiri rather than Kenwright.

Do you remember the “what a manager” interview, followed rather swiftly by Moshiri giving Martinez the bullet?

Moshiri was definitely the driving factor behind Walsh. In all the years under Kenwright, there has never been a sniff of a possible DOF coming on board.

It’s well renowned that Moshiri really wanted Koeman.

I think you are ignoring the clear fact that Moshiri is by far the biggest shareholder and the club is very much marching to his beat. Kenwright et al have been kept on to smooth the transition, but Kenwrights powers have waned massively.

In truth I think they would try lots of things. The thing that makes it not believable though is that Kenwright think's he's worshipped by Evertonians, so it would make no sense to do it. He'd be more likely to say he's staying indefinitely and think that would drive season tickets.

Exactly, that's the part of it I I found stupid.

Btw, I’m not necessarily saying Moshiri is solely to blame for the mess - he isn’t. But it’s making excuses to the guy to pretend that what we’ve seen was not his vision.

So am i the only one who will be slightly concerned when he goes and we wont have him (or someone of his ilk) on the board?

Don't know what you've got til its gone and all that.
‘Don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone!’

Sake mate, how long have you been supporting us?

I think Bill Kenwright is more popular with Evertonians than a site like this would suggest.
I don't think this sight is in any way reflective of the opinion of the majority of Everton supporters.....I think the large crowds and lack of animosity to Bill Kenwright and others prove that.

Based on the posts of some on this site, there would be a crowd of no more than a few hundred at Goodison and most of those with sniper rifles to take out Moshiri, Bill, Elstone and most of the players except possibly Coleman and maybe Pickford.

Far too long.

I do see the good he has done for the club though, the community aspect mainly and no matter what, I would like a supporter of the club on the board.

Since Moshiri has arrived (and I am not having a go at him here either...) we have hardly gone from strength to strength have way? Awful decisions all over the place.

I support Everton because I like what we are. A club which is deep rooted into the community. Obviously some success to go along with that would be nice but I don't really want it to come as part of us turning into some ugly corporate conglomerate monstrosity either. Kenwright is a lot of things but he does care about the club.

As nice as the community stuff is, it isn't as important to me as us being a successful football club I'm afraid.

Think you’ll find he cares more about the money.......not a single penny given, even with his massive investment gain
Sooner the fraud is gone the better

We're in the top half. When he came we had stayed up on the last day. This squad is light years ahead, as is the youth set up.
Is it though?

Last time I checked we have spent 250 million on players who reading through the thread on here 'aren't fit to wear the shirt' whilst we don't even attack teams most weeks or shoot let alone try.

I think people forget just how bad we were before he took over.

Like getting battered almost 10 times in one season? Like teetering in a relegation battle that we are doing very little to avoid? Like not attacking? Like not shooting? Leaking goals? Hoofing it up the pitch? Excluding players and favouring others? Out the cup first chance of asking?

Yeah 20 years on things are SO much better. Nothing has changed except the wage bill!
