Baines' left foot

I didn't realise so many people watched the training sessions. Kev must be knocking them in for fun for there to be so much fuming.

Honestly, at this point, i don't even think its the training either. He's been in the proverbial doghouse for over a year. You don't think at some point he would have put his head down and busted his butt in training?I didn't realise so many people watched the training sessions. No not really, but I know he's much better than Kone and grandad when your needing a goal.
Exactly. Martinez has talked him up and said he's not for sale, despite no clear interest in him. We can only guess how he's reacted to no longer being first choice but there isn't a lack of evidence to suggest he may not have gone out of his way to show how he offers enough to the team as a whole to keep out players with less natural ability.Maybe, but if he isn't training well in the week, then giving him preference over those that are putting in the effort sends a bad message. Of course, we don't know whether Mirallas is training well or not, but Martinez does, so there may be more to it than we're aware of.
It's hard to imagine we're keeping a very talented player on the sidelines for no reason, as he'd be a superb asset if he was on his game.

On top of this he is not even the most natural talent at the club any more. That's surely a positive.
It's no way to treat a player with a great car, career, and salary tbfI didn't realise so many people watched the training sessions. Kev must be knocking them in for fun for there to be so much fuming.
I've been hoping proper competition ups his game but also worried it's brought out his arrogant side. I'm sure if he was the player that Rom most liked linking up with then he'd be first choice. It is strange, and sad, that he seems to have fallen so far out of front-line reckoning. There was a point where he was our most important attacking threat. Would love him to get back to a state where he can give us ~10 goals a season.

Hmm so a player who trains well but plays absolutely terribly such as Kone should be given preference over Mirallas - who people are now assuming cba in training despite no evidence of that
It's actually illegal not to use a player with a gold Bentley. It's no way to treat a player with a great car, career, and salary tbf
