This is obvious, but he was happy to take the coin for how many years after this became clear? In the current environment, based on Brands's own words, it is quite clear that we do not need a director of football. They won't be allowed to do their job - as we saw already with Kenwright leading the Richarlison sale to Spurs, a club well used to dumping directors of football themselves thanks to Levy's dominance.
