What even happened to signing unknown starlets from another league to the first team?
I swear the last time we signed someone that's not been obsessively "premier league proven" is so hard to remember.

I guess the only names that qualify are Gbamin and Kean, signed a whopping three years ago today. And they both were absolute failures.

There is how difficult it is right there in two paragraphs. I remember when moise kean signed. I knew nothing about him. But the "experts" were creaming that we jumped in front and signed a world class striker.
I had my worries after about 4/5 games. Another player who thought he had made it and was big time before he'd done anything.

I dont think the job Thelwell has here is easy. And even if he is the right person it takes time to lay foundations for this role.

Funny how he was happy enough sticking around on a big wage for over 3 years now he starts talking smack.
I don’t think he’s said anything that wasn’t already known and has already been widely reported.
Moshiri (and Kenwright ) have continually encroached far too much on the DoFs role and responsibilities, with almost disastrous results.
They have to learn to trust Thelwell and leave him free to do his job or the same problems will continue to occur.

Seems Bill was the one negotiating with Levy over Richarlison too.

Nothing seems to have changed.

Good luck Kev.

Two men aged 67 and 76 learning?

Add in their overweening sense of entitlement due to their wealth, and, well, I'm not holding my breath on their powers of self-awareness and reflection.

Not having those comments from Brands.

He's in face saving mode - he's as responsible as any, if not worse.

He was happy to take Moshiri's money and he renewed his deal knowing the gig.
Exactly.

If the man had come in, taken a look around, and departed after his initial deal ran out, I'd say he was a man of integrity. But he renewed, happily took the coin (and why not), and is therefore complicit in the mismanagement.

People will say he was right to take the goodies on offer. Fine. But that denies him the right to wash his hands of what happened, which is basically what he is now trying to do. Another charlatan.
