Hope that they have but this board/club just taken away any thoughts that they can be professional out the window

They need to go. Enough is enough. Too many years of this. How many games have potentially been lost or drawn over the years because we drag things out either players or managers. Last day dealings, caretaker managers outstay their welcome. It’s us.

Again, desperate for some ruthlessness in attack and we have only just signed a loan player after 22 days of the window.

It goes back years, we had to play Cahill up front one season until Jelavic was brought in the last days of that January window.

Enough. We need people with foresight , tact, who plan for any potential issue so if they arise they can be amended quickly. Not people who are local or love the club (they love the wage a lot more) .

We need to get with the times and not this board or put up with anymore of the nonsense people who shill for this board come out with.

Think it will esp if we go down, dont think i have ever seen it this way is the biggest number of fans i have seen that want the board out. Even my dad who watched sharp looked at his comment and was like why has he said that

I’m glad because this needs to end . Enough is enough. I didn’t mean to rant at you by the way , just had enough of all this. It’s insanity mate.

You have to rant best to get it out your head, cant help it by the mess they have out us in. Just have to be positive and hioe we get the change this set of fans deserve

I think our Director of Football should pick our manager and I hope he has a list that isn't short-term.

I know we are all dreading being "relegated" but honestly I see this appointment and this window as the launch pad.

Danjuma is a good talent and a positive attacking player who will add another dimension to our attack.

If we had some real vision we should make that call to Pochettino and Tuchel even tho it's a bit below them but if you don't ask, you don't get.

Marcello Gallardo would be something. He would be a shot in the arm and he is the a different option than just Prem ready plus a free agent.

Ruban Amorim at Sporting Lisbon, again another fresh look and positive attacking football. A young manager who is destined for better.

Kasper Hjulmand is another manager who is constantly linked to big job given his work as Denmark manager who has worked with a very limited group but got every bit out of them.

I hope we think outside the box or at least show some ambition.

Perhaps a case of blind optimism - but I'm happy that it sounds like he'll be taking the reins on the new manager search. I trust him more than anyone else at the club to at least sound out a candidate that would be a bit more flexible/pragmatic with this terrible squad.

One who I am intrigued by is Tedesco - been sacked twice, but one of them was largely because he'd raised expectation levels on himself by taking Schalke into the CL

Still very young and tactically v flexible

…yep, blind optimism. The same bloke brought in Maupay.

...yet has had us linked with a number of good players since he came in Eggs, including in this current transfer window.

Some people just want to hang their hats on the Maupay & McNeil signings. Neither of them are 'bad' players, lets get that right, they just simply aren't performing/are able to perform in this side as it stands..

Let me put it this way - would you rather Thelwell or Bill/Moshiri?

Let's be fair - Maupay had looked like a competent footballer for a while at Brighton. Not a world beater, but at least ok at this level. If Lampard was always going to just play our central striker as a target type, Maupay should never have been considered - whether Lampard articulated that to Thelwell we will never know, but in the right system Maupay is ok. Nothing more, nothing less. In the wrong system, he's poor and that's the Maupay we've seen.
