...yet has had us linked with a number of good players since he came in Eggs, including in this current transfer window.

Some people just want to hang their hats on the Maupay & McNeil signings. Neither of them are 'bad' players, lets get that right, they just simply aren't performing/are able to perform in this side as it stands..

McNeil certainly is a bad player.

Onana is a good buy long-term.

It is difficult to be positive with McNeil and Maupay though - what were they meant to fix ? And it's not like they were cheap.

Couldn’t get a game ahead of Aaron Lennon at Burnley last season.
Mike Jackson fancied his experience during that run-in when they were trying to save themselves from relegation. Didn't quite work out.. although personally I've always quite liked Aaron myself.

I think given the right opportunity, he’d be good here.

Instead he’s in a mess.

Links to players like Mudtyk, Kudus etc make me feel like he’s at least changing something. Sometimes though, it’s not about the person and how tight his hands are tied behind his back.

Agree to disagree.

He may look to have about as much conviction as a wet lettuce when he's on the pitch, but he undoubtely has talent.

Similar to Maupay, looks to be getting mis-utilised/coached to me..
Don't you watch McNeil ?

Take a look at his performance v West Ham , as bad as I've seen from any Everton player EVER.
