Correct me just in case I have it wrong if you would @Eggs, but didn't the latest injury to DCL occur before Simms was loaned out?…I’m sure the plan was/is to bring effective back-up to DCL, but given his fragility then surely the better option was to keep Simms until the additional striker was acquired. No problem then sending Simms on loan, the demand will be there for him throughout the window.
i‘m of the view Simms is not seen as an effective back-up but he falls into the ‘better than Rondon’ category and at least we have a conventional young striker for these few games.
I’d be very surprised if Simms ever puts on an Everton first team shirt, I have no issue with that but sending him on loan whilst keeping Rondon was reckless.
I meant our DOF in general, whether that's thelwell, brands or WalshHe’s only worked under the one manager, Frank
This move shouldn’t have been sanctioned. Presumably we had players in our sights but obviously these are not givens so he should have been told he was staying until further noticeCorrect me just in case I have it wrong if you would @Eggs, but didn't the latest injury to DCL occur before Simms was loaned out?
If that is the case, not only was Richy sold, as was intimated for the whole of last season, already knowing we needed a replacement, but we shoot ourselves in the foot by further depleting our very limited options up front.
The extent of the injury being known, yet still ship out the only understandable option, to me is nothing short of negligence.
Surely the loaning out of Simms should have been delayed until recruitments had been made. Plenty of time to do that, and also get first hand viewing of the potential of the Lad in first team action.
This would make a good first episode on All or Nothing: Everton. Would love to have a camera crew filming the discussions from our board as they plan for the upcoming season.Correct me just in case I have it wrong if you would @Eggs, but didn't the latest injury to DCL occur before Simms was loaned out?

Nothing against the general flow of your post, but did you type, "from our board as they plan" etc? This would make a good first episode on All or Nothing: Everton. Would love to have a camera crew filming the discussions from our board as they plan for the upcoming season.
I would like to think they are methodically planning ahead at leastNothing against the general flow of your post, but did you type, "from our board as they plan" etc?
Honestly @JohnRoss23, I think Matron really needs to up your meds as you have very low blood sugars.
7 weeks and no Richarlison replacement
Very true. I would also like to think that, but, unfortunately, I see very little evidence on a constant basis.I would like to think they are methodically planning ahead at least

I actually agree, just not for that reasoning.Fair point. Sheedy was still better. I think a lot of fans think football started in 1992.
