Massive cop out this. Who’s he line managing, and why? What are his roles and responsibilities as a line manager? We need to know what he actually does if he’s not doing what a DOF is supposed to do.
Nothing that could be done to stop that.
We don't agree fee he goes and signs for Chelsea than a tribunal gives us a fee of probably in the region of 2-4 million 6 months down the line.

I agree. There is a theory of Brands and indeed, Thelwell as being innocent bystanders when they are/were on handsome salaries and have the equivalent of a senior management role in a business.
Not does it mean I don't see that there were/are obstacles put in their way but professionals in a senior role should be able to make an assessment in short order as to whether they have the freedom and resources to work, or not.
They are not individuals for whom leaving the role would mean being unable to pay their gas bill.
Someone who oversees the performance of people he employs and reports back to someone in a senior role

Scouting as well but i would include that in recruitment team.
It's his job to manage these and to make sure the right team is in place to do the work.
