I do have some sympathy for him, he’s clearly hamstrung with our finances. He’s probably getting laughed out of clubs for some of the proposals he’s being forced to put together.

Don’t know how anyone genuinely thinks he’s just deliberately choosing to not sign a striker.
Some merit to this given he is not on the board like his predecessor (Brands) and now with amount of accountants on current Everton board...

I would agree, but at one point Kev decided to utter those fateful words 'we'll give you £15m for Neal Maupay'.

This will be it. When we are doing bridging loans to keep construction work going on site while we sort the investment with MSP highlights the funding issue we have.

Money is tight and we have a massive construction project to finance.

Yet people who say " Someone needs to wake Kev up! "

It is Everton's continuing downfall under Moshiri in a nutshell. Leave 120 point plan, no striker for a full season Thelwell and good times Bill in their positions and expect something different to happen. Complete insanity.

Business as usual until both clowns are removed.

…I can never forgive Thelwell for leaving us a striker light. Never, regardless of whatever he does. Gross negligence and absolutely no excuse whatsoever.

I have real doubts that he’s a genuine ‘football man’. The DoF needs to be a football man, not a ‘Line Manager’ (as he describes himself).

Massive cop out this. Who’s he line managing, and why? What are his roles and responsibilities as a line manager? We need to know what he actually does if he’s not doing what a DOF is supposed to do.

What is a DOF supposed to do??

I bet everyone has a different answer to that.

I have him a couple of years, just as I will Thelwell, Brands was very damaging to my mind, the effects still being felt today.

He was part of the board, that everyone has spent the last few months protesting for the mess we’re in. If we argue interference, then the same defence applies to Denise, Bill and Sharpey to my mind mate.
I agree. There is a theory of Brands and indeed, Thelwell as being innocent bystanders when they are/were on handsome salaries and have the equivalent of a senior management role in a business.

Not does it mean I don't see that there were/are obstacles put in their way but professionals in a senior role should be able to make an assessment in short order as to whether they have the freedom and resources to work, or not.

They are not individuals for whom leaving the role would mean being unable to pay their gas bill.
