A season out on loan like that did Barkley no favours, it'd do even less for a player like Dowell. He's about three moves ahead of those Championship players. He'll end up with the ball at his feet looking to pick a pass with no runners ahead and getting belted from the side or behind and have his leg in bits.

This sounds right to me based on previous conversations I've had with my mate who knows a few of the academy staff. We get the best bunch of youngsters in decades and we have the misfortune to end up with Koeman as manager.

Disheartening if true mate. Tell you what RK better deliver this year. That's not pro or anti-Koeman, it's a fact. If you're going to turn your back on these kids because you want to win now, then you'd damn well better win now.

Holgate, Calvert Lewin, Lookman and Davies, even Kenny got a run out. That's more than most prem teams.

I disagree mate. 7th place was a bare minimun for last season and we flopped out of both cups early.

Has to do alot better this season for me.

While people will have their own opinion as to how well RK has done, one thing is indisputable , Everton gave more minutes to teenagers last season than any other team in the Premier League.
