Kit for 24/25

Just wish they'd adapt the tower to the actual tower.

Just feels half arsed, I know what they're trying to do, but how much effort would or take to add a few lines?

I agree with this actually.

Not against simplifying logos/badges once brand awareness is achieved.

As part of my degree I wrote a dissertation on it/ could bore you to death about Shell or McDonald’s.

?

Seems that's you mate. The forums for opinions - I'm giving mine.
I disagree that you have to have 'EVERTON' emblazoned on the badge. That's not what makes a brand recognisable. I live in Europe. No-one sees an Everton badge I may have and goes, 'oh, Everton'. They have to read it to see who it is.

It's just not a big brand outside of premier league circles. If you have to read a badge to see who it is, it's not recognisable. It has to have a stand out icon, be it like the liverbird, the red devil, a chicken on a football, a gun, etc.

None of these require the name of the team to make it recognised.

If you look at Premier League badge changes the last 10 years - you'll see one common denominator.

There's a reason why so many teams have updated their logo to include their clubs name within the main body. For the reasons I shared that Everton specified.

It's really basic stuff - brands/companies the world over all have brand guidelines and central to those are how you treat their logo/crest. Some side/training fear to appease hipsters as an alternative niche version. Sound. But to me its silly to bastardise the logo on playing kits.

17 of 20 teams is that?

... I couldnt care what the kit looks like. I'd never buy, or wear it outside.

But the club not using the crest in it's entirety on playing kit is a mistake, IMO.

Incidentally - I've always like the current Fulham & Wolves crests and I don't think you need to see the full name of the club in them to know who they are, even internationally.

I don't mind the basic tower for our away kits - but I reckon with a bit of adjustment we could even take it a step further and evolve ours even more, without the name..
