Koeman: "Barkley looking for a new challenge"

Clubs will make us sweat before making a last minute take it or leave it low bid. If this doesn't happen and hes going to be a negative influence stick him training with the youth.
That would be unfair to the youth, i'd make him train alone

Well this thread went EXACTLY how you would expect. It's just an opinion tho...

Anyway, the teeth-gnashing over this will end as soon as Everton take the field. We're building something new here, something different to what we've had for the last four - and hopefully the last 30 - years. If Ross doesn't want to be a part of that, that's entirely up to him. Clearly Koeman and Everton wanted him to stay, hence the whopping great big contract offer, but the player wants to leave. Whatever his reasons, that's up to him.

So now we move on. I honestly believe Barkley will miss Everton more than Everton will miss Barkley, but even if he doesn't it's hardly Everton's fault. Let's go win pots with a new team full of players that want to win pots with Everton.

Is it so hard to admit the following...

He wants to play for a manager who believes in him
He thinks Spurs are a better bet than Everton to win things
He wants to play in the CL and test himself against the best whilst our team are testing themselves against eastern European no mark outfits

It's just where we are in terms of development and the fact his own manager doesn't want him here.

A yes & no to this, I get the CL bit but the pop at the manger I doubt very much.
Most of us day to day don't get on with managers etc there not your best mates.
You have to prove your worth!
That's life that a job!
If your not doing what your asked then expected to have your ass kicked simples.

I think him leaving is something to do with the club punch incident... Seems odd him wanting to leave his boyhood club in the most exciting period of our recent history. Could he have been threatened?? Just really weird this....

I'd rather Ross stay but I'm more annoyed that he's ran his contract down, he's more on a par with a Jeffers or Rodwell than Rooney but he's cost us £10m by holding out.

At this moment to say Jeffers at this time and Rooney he's not as good as they were ( at this time ) rodwell doesn't even count he scored a good goal against United and he was the nxt best thing. - I remember Danny caddimartri doing it against the RS and being labelled the same.

Well considering his last good season was El Fraudo's first season.....and people suggesting he is unhappy due to the manager.....that's two managers. What type of manager will it take to make him happy? Do we think someone like Mourinho, Conte or Pep will pander to him, blow smoke up his arse to make him happy? Doubt it. If he thought Koeman was ruthless, he's in for an almighty shock. Small fish, big pond. Or something.
