Saw "Drive" the other night.

Great to look at but.....not much...actually to it. It's almost like an extended pop promo or Tony Scott advert. Looks terrific, just not enough "substance" to it...… Loads of people have raved off it...just can't see what's so incredible about it like....

Have to say I still don't like Prometheus, great cast and high production values, but ultimately a bit of a mess and the creationism vibe doesn't fit the film series in my opinion. Maybe Scott is looking at different questions in his old age.
Prometheus utter garbo imo

I can see where you`re coming from with Prometheus, but once I understood it properly I came like it.

Some woeful miscasting though.

I respectfully disagree.

Ryan Gosling is magnificent in it, right down to his stadium jacket and driving gloves.

He was born to play these parts - Blade Runner 2049 for example.

The only actor who I think could`ve matched him for the part is Sam Rockwell.

stringer bell in space was the highlight for me but maybe I haven't caught the full gist if it then. Ridley Scott is still a legend even if I don't like where he has took his alien franchise, having spent time in south shields I can confirm that anyone who rises from that place to where he has deserves respect

Yeah I like the minimalist style of the film, and there are some good dynamics such as the relationship with bryan cranston and the boss

Whitley Bay is alright by me.

It`s the way he can swing from being completely calm and silent to stamping all over someones head and then go back to being calm and silent again.

You`re caught between feeling desperately sorry for him, as hard done to and completely disgusted after he`s just stamped someone to death.

Creed last night on ITV2.

Lots of the Tony Belles stuff (and his stereotype cockney Manager) was pure cringe and felt so out of place in a Rocky film.
