Just been to see Sorry We Missed You, brilliant piece of film making, great performances from the central characters. But to quote my wife "that was painful watching".
Looks really good this. Still got the goods has Ken Loach.

Excellent and worthy sequel to the Shining.
Creepy, suspenseful and links in beautifully to the Shining.Building up to a stand out ending.
It’s over two hours though and is slow in parts.
Ewan Macgregor very good in the lead, as is the little girl in support.
One particularly disturbing scene.
A working knowledge of the Shining deffo helps.
@anjelikaferrett this is deffo one you should see
Looking so much forward to this. McGregor imo is one of the finest actors out there at the moment.
One of the first films I ever watched on telly. Proper Sunday afternoon fodder, terrified me as a little fat kid.King Kong (1933), excellent special effects for the time ; Fay Wray screaming the house down.

In the shadow of the moon 6/10..... Started off well then kinda fell apart towards the end
American son 3/10.....basically a tired rehash of every racial cliche in America today
Ooh. thanks. I've been a bit scared to go and see it because I loved the book so much!View attachment 70285
