Last Film You Watched

Watched Free Guy with two teenage stepsons the other day. It was alright entertainment, but about 30 minutes too long. Not a movie to be takien seriously at all, but kids still got annoyed by the woke references included. Silly to include politics in what is essentially a movie version of Fortnite anyway.

I found the stab at gamers to be a extra funny, but I'm not sure the kids fully picked up on it. Made it even funnier, considering they're both annoying as (beep) when they play online.

At last a Netflix film, that feels like it was made for the cinema, rather than steaming.

Worth.

Based on the true story of the law firm and lawyers tasked with the distribution of the 911 victims compensation fund.

Sensitively handled and Michael Keaton is in fine form as the senior partner of the law firm.

Shows how it was almost impossible to put a value on one persons life compared to others.

Did you know the girl is from Liverpool? Her dads a doctor or something at finch farm.

Clear and Present Danger. Harrison Ford action/thriller from the 90s.

And it's bad IMO. The plot is too ambitious for its own good, downright boring as a result as it doesn't let anything breathe - instead it's just scene after scene piled on top of each other. I remember about three of the characters names after watching it.

3/10.
I could probably name a lot of the characters in that. But not because of that movie, but because I like Clancy.

I had some real problems with the two Harrison Ford Jack Ryan movies........ (for that matter, almost all of them, except for The Hunt for Red October. Though Liev Schriber made a good Clark in Sum of All Fears)

"Kate" on Netflix the other night.
In the past I really haven't bothered watching films but of late have tended to watch things just based on the trailers.
This film pure nonsense which managed to somehow keep my attention.
To think that slasher movies were once criticised for being bloodthirsty and this takes it to another level.

Ocean's Twelve.

I liked Ocean's Eleven. It was silly, self-indulgent nonsense that was nevertheless fun to watch.

Ocean's Twelve I never got round to watching - but I have now and it is the same silly, self-indulgent nonsense... but it is not fun to watch.

It's just so, so conceited, all of it. The Julia Roberts part where Julia Roberts plays Julia Roberts was one of those things that must have sounded funny on paper but they didn't have the sense to cut it when it wasn't in practice.

I believe there's another movie after this one, but I'll be giving it a pass.
